About Lee A Jones
I’m an author, podcast host, US Army Combat Veteran, husband and father. I don’t have everything figured out. I make mistakes and carry regrets. More than once, I’ve looked at my life and quietly wondered, “How did I get here?”
The military gave me structure, discipline, and the ability to function under pressure. But it didn’t make me immune to bad choices, fear, or pride. Growth came when I got honest about where I am and took responsibility, learning from my service and those closest to me. Some lessons were loud, others quiet, but all pushed me to be more intentional and accountable.
That’s why I created Hindsight the Podcast. The show isn’t about being perfect or skipping the tough parts. It’s real people, entrepreneurs, high performers, coaches, authors, and they're talking honestly about moments that shaped them. We dig into pivotal moments, resilience, mindset, and self-discovery to find real change. I want listeners to recognize themselves and know they’re just at a crossroads, not broken.
My nonfiction book, From Here to There, came from the same place. I wrote it for people who are tired of feeling stuck, tired of repeating patterns, and tired of doing “fine” while quietly knowing they’re capable of more.
The book is practical and direct, but also personal. I believe your future doesn’t change just because you want it to. It changes when you start making better choices, even small ones, over and over. I wrote it because I’ve had to do that work myself, more than once.
And then there’s my debut novel, Measured in Regrets. I didn’t write this novel just to entertain people. I wrote it because stories can say what we sometimes can’t.
Fiction lets me explore the cost of avoiding the truth, the weight of regret, the power of one decision, and the moments that quietly reshape a life. These books are a different kind of mirror.
If you’re here, I won’t talk down to you or try to hype you up with empty motivation. I respect how heavy life can get. I also believe you can change more than you think you can.
I’ve seen it happen, and I’ve lived enough of it to know it’s real. I’m confident in what I stand for: honesty, growth, and moving forward. I’m also empathetic because I know what it feels like to want better and still struggle with parts of yourself you don’t always understand.
So welcome. If you’re navigating a transition, rebuilding after a setback, or trying to make sense of your “here” so you can reach your “there,” you’re in the right place. This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being intentional and learning how to move forward with clarity, courage, and a little more truth than you had yesterday.
